<p id="par_id3152918" class="paragraph" dir="auto">If LibreOffice does not recognize the file type of the document that your want to open, try any of the following:</p>

For example, a Microsoft Word document must have a <span class="emph">*.doc</span> or <span class="emph">*.docx</span> extension for LibreOffice to use the appropriate filter.</p>
