<p id="par_id741614794572948" class="paragraph" dir="auto">Enter the UTF-8 name or part of the name of the character to display the UTF-8 character in the top left square of the grid. The name of the character cannot be translated. For example, enter <span class="literal">tilde</span> to display <span class="literal">~</span> and enter <span class="literal">latin capital letter O with circumflex</span> to display <span class="literal">Ô</span>.</p>

<p id="par_id3152924" class="paragraph" dir="auto"><span class="avis">Select a font to display the special characters that are associated with it.</span></p>

<p id="par_id3145090" class="paragraph" dir="auto"><span class="avis">Select a Unicode block for the current font.</span> The special characters for the selected Unicode block are displayed in the character table.</p>

<p id="par_id3154288" class="paragraph" dir="auto"><span class="avis">Click the special character(s) that you want to insert, and then click <span class="emph">Insert</span>.</span></p>
<h2 id="hd_id3154317" dir="auto">Recent Characters</h2>
<p id="par_id3152551" class="paragraph" dir="auto">Displays the special characters that were inserted recently.</p>
<h2 id="hd_id9854317" dir="auto">Favorite Characters</h2>
<p id="par_id3159351" class="paragraph" dir="auto">Displays the special characters that were chosen with the <span class="emph">Add to Favorites</span> button. Up to 16 special characters can be saved as a favorite.</p>
